How Rakchamps Uses Google Drive

Rakchamps integrates with Google Drive to give chartered accountants and their clients the option to store tax documents in their own Google Drive account instead of (or in addition to) the Rakchamps built-in storage.

What data does Rakchamps access?

Rakchamps requests access to a specific folder in your Google Drive to upload and retrieve tax documents on your behalf.
Rakchamps reads file metadata (file names, folder structure) to display your stored documents within the platform.
Rakchamps does not access any files or folders outside the designated Rakchamps folder.

Why does Rakchamps need this access?

To allow you to store tax documents (returns, invoices, certificates) directly in your own Google Drive.
To retrieve those documents when you or your chartered accountant needs to review, process, or file them.
To provide a unified view of all your documents regardless of where they are stored.

How is your data protected?

Access is granted per-user via OAuth. Only the user who connects their Drive can access their own files.
Rakchamps does not share your Google Drive data with any third parties.
Rakchamps does not use your Google Drive data for advertising or any purpose unrelated to providing the tax operations service.
You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from within Rakchamps, which immediately revokes access.
All data transfers are encrypted in transit using TLS.
